Mehman Restaurant: Authentic Iranian Cuisine in North Vancouver

I lived in Iran and I would say this is exactly the same tasteEspecially if you like liver/heart kebab it is ideal! People at the restaurant are super nice too! I like doogh a lot too, you may find it salty and weird the first time but then you love it. Kebab koobideh is fantastic too! Next time I would try more other dishes همه خیلی خوشمزست! مرسی!

Authentic Taste of Iranian food in the Heart of north Vancouver! We recently had the pleasure of dining at an Iranian restaurant in Vancouver and tried their koobideh kebab with saffron rice — and it was absolutely fantastic! The koobideh was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with traditional Persian spices. The texture was just right — tender, not dry, and grilled to perfection. The rice was fragrant and fluffy, served with saffron and butter on top, just like how it’s done in Iran. It brought back memories of family gatherings and home-cooked meals. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

I am stopping mid meal to write this review. This place is 6 out of 5 stars. This is truly one of the best Persian food I have ever eaten and I have been coming to Lonsdale for the past 13 years. The meat is very juicy and flavourful. The rice is perfectly cooked with sweetness of the raisins balanced with the gentle spices. Pure bliss. This is my new place for Persian food. Don’t miss this.

Had dinner with my son at the restaurant. The server brought in cold water with naan bread (might have been taftoon) and butter while we waited for our order. Food came in quickly and it looked amazing and tasted even better. I tried Lamb Soltani which was tender and juicy. My son went for his default order KOOBIDEH KABAB which he clearly enjoyed. Highly recommended at affordable prices and generous quantities. We left full and with leftovers.

Went here for dinner last night and the food was amazing. The waitress is very friendly and helped us order food since it was our first time eating Persian food. Portions were large, food was fresh. My favorite is the tomato and egg omelette with bread, so damn good. The yogurt and cucumber so good. Lamb Soltani so yummy. Feb 9- went here again and ordered more food with friends, so delicious!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The customer service was also amazing; the lady at the front desk were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy great Persian cuisine in a friendly atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!
